• All NGOO who recieve funds from foreigh Sources and whose opernation covers more than one Districts or all Foreign NGOs to be registered with the National NGO Secretariat of the Ministry of Women Empowerment and social Welfare
• All NGOO operating at District Level, to be registered with the District Secretary/Government Agent of that District
• All NGOO operating at District Level, to be registered with the Divisional Secretariate of the division.

CBR stands for community based rehabilitation. Community Based Rehabilitation will provide and protect the rights and responsibilities of individuals by including them into civil sociaty and development welfare programme at all levels of social organization and civil administration.

As you are aware, 100 Counselling assistants and 82 counselling qualified social officers are appointed to the D.S. Offices island wide. Their services are freely available on your request.

How to get a housing assistance fro mthe National Seretariat for persons with disabilties

If you are a disabled person having a monthly income less than Rs 5000, more than 18 years of age and having and own land you are able to recieve an assistance of maxiumum Rs. 50000, Application recieved by the social service officer should be forwarded with relevant documents.
